Special Sister Time
Quinn Emery, Age 12
My name is Quinn Emery and I am 12 years old. I am the oldest of 5 children. I have 2 sisters, Reagan, 5 years old, and Madison, 3 years old. I wanted to get to know my sisters better, so I started ‘Special Sister Time’. I decided to plan a Special Sister Spa morning! A couple days before the event, I made invitations on the computer and put them on their beds. When Madison found hers, she was so excited! Reagan immediately ran to her bed and was excited to receive her invitation too!
Special Sister Spa began the next Saturday morning. I decorated my parent’s bathroom with streamers, flowers, bath salts and body wash. The girls came in with their pink bathrobes on, and they looked so cute! My dad helped me make special orange juice, and we drank out of special glasses with straws. They took a bubble bath, and I helped them put good-smelling cream on. I painted their nails, we talked, and then they went “home”.
The next ‘Special Sister Time’ was a Special Sister Sleepover. Again, I made invitations for them to come to my bedroom on Friday night. I borrowed my dad’s laptop, and we watched the ‘Muppets’ and ate popcorn while lying in my bed. When the movie was finished, we brushed our teeth. I gave them a little jewelry bag with a ‘Lip Smacker’ in it for a party favor. Madison slept with me in my full bed and Reagan slept on the floor.
I love getting to know my sisters better with ‘Special Sister Time’. We all enjoy our time together!
